Thanks to Mrs. Walsh at MSES for giving me the chance to share โExpanded Snakesโ with her students ๐ A fun and creative way to practice writing numbers in expanded and standard form!
Some great strategies for parents/guardians who are looking to help with math homework! To borrow a quote from
@MathDenisNJ
"Questioning is at the heart of learning mathematics, not answering"

Today we learned about the senior class via hypothesis testing! Using our class as a random sample of the senior class, we assumed parameters & tried to prove whether the true parameter was greater or less. A lot of fun & a lot of learning! #ghsmath #ghscommunity#handsonlearning
What is truly an unexpected performance by an athlete? My CP Stats classes put together sampling Distributions of their favorite athletes so we can truly judge what to expect and what would be considered an outlying performance! #GHSMath#ghscommunity
I just posted a few videos on Confidence Intervals to my Stats Channel, https://t.co/9jlixtbnUg. Any questions on Algebra or Stats, let me know! Happy New Year ๐ #GamacheStats#ghscommunity#ghsmath
I just created a new YouTube channel devoted exclusively to Stats videos! If you have AP or CP Stats questions, send them my way and I can make a video for you! https://t.co/9jlixtbnUg #stats#GHScommunity#APstats
I know a lot of math teachers these days are asked, "Why are students not just given notes that tell them how to do something? It worked for us years ago." This article is great evidence of the benefits of active learning vs. lecturing https://t.co/VT7thqGoTK
Great job by my Integrated Math students! Instead of being given definitions & examples of discrete & continuous data, they found them on their own last night, shared them, & we put it all
into 1 definition and one collection of examples!#ghscommunity#discoverybased
