@gamefromscratch@thomasbrushdev@Goodgis I've tried 4 different engines unity godot unreal and game maker. Godot from my own personal perspective just feels smooth. Everything works well together. Granted ive never made a commercial release with them but I have made quite a few smaller games both solo and with a team
Full time game dev and youtube gamedev have been so enjoyable going through and has a lot of helpful information. Feel like I've learned more in 6 months from @thomasbrushdev than I did for my entire bachelor's degree and im not even half way through full time game dev.
@thomasbrushdev@PirateSoftware Completely agree. Its just drowning my feeds at this point. Let the man live and do his thing. No reason to analyze his code and project then share no context to why its set up the way it is. Everyone is just piling on for clout even small channels trying to go viral.
@andrewpprice So this was a tutorial I watched for my college 3d modeling course. Started out explaining modeling and rigging a 3d character then when we started modeling the ear the video went silent and didnt even have subtitles.
@thomasbrushdev Hey thomas, played the demo it was really fun and thats coming from someone who hates shooters. Do you think this project is more difficult than your previous projects? I've always found 3d games to be easier. They just feel easier to me.
@andrewpprice Thank you! I appreciate all the content you've created over the years. I've been working in Godot and Blender for a few years now and have been enjoying both softwares. Im eager to see what the blender foundation creates with their new game made in godot.
I've been wanting to create something based around tutorials I've watched over the years and decided to make a game that uses the donut I made from
@andrewpprice's donut tutorial.

@PirateSoftware We should call all game devs to make up patents and only sue Nintendo when they use it! Their abuse of power is rediculous and only hurts the industry. The loss of the nemesis system removed so much opportunity and now animals to glide and throwing spheres? When will it end?
@gameinstitute is there any plans for new content? Most of the content on the website is extremely out dated. All the way back to 2015 for blender tutorials and unity 2016. Love the tutorials just wondering if there is any thought of updating to current software.
Just finished the FullTimeGameDev godot tutorial featuring @StayAtHomeDev. Overall a great tutorial series. I never thought about creating state machines and an audio system that way.
