outbid made $120k in 48 hours selling spots on a leaderboard.
i kept thinking about what happens if the board never stops moving.

280 spots. every one of them goes back up for auction every 15 minutes,
all on the same clock. win one and it's yours until somebody pays more
than you did. bid in the last 10 seconds and the clock goes back up, so
there's no sniping and nothing ever sits still.

three economies i built today and then deleted:

- a daily fee to keep your spot. that's rent on something you already bought
- a cap on what you could resell it for. capping the upside is the whole pitch
- a button to shove a rival's price down. worst idea i've had this month

the one that actually scared me: ten bids fired at once against ten dollars
of credit left the balance at minus forty. with more threads you take the
whole board for the price of one spot. i only found it because i wrote the
test as an attack instead of a feature. that's the part i'm keeping.

345 tests. load tested to 2,000 people watching at once.
