🕶️ 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳: Bruno’s a truly top-level footballer that no doubt will have been excited to see the club push on last summer, and had assurances on spending to do so. 12 months, wasted money, transfer sagas and a 12th place finish later - he found himself the only player from Europe’s top five leagues in the Brazil squad playing no form of European football other than Brentford’s Thiago (and he was a narrow miss). An influence, and quite damning. With limited wages and a clear rebuild in process, I cant begrudge him for wanting a final big move in hunt of success after giving us so much.

🕶️ 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻: Footballing ability aside, the personality and connection the player has towards the club and city makes this harder to swallow than the average player - and unless you support Newcastle you’ll probably never truly understand that. To be blunt, with Carabao Cup tattoos, constant emotional social media messages and such a passionate persona comes a ‘rod for his own back’ in terms of fan reaction to this news, and the type he’d have expected when he got his agents on a pot stirring mission.

We don’t need to sell, and Arsenal need to pay big money to even entertain that conversation. But Bruno’s legacy here will depend on how badly he wants the move. If it’s Isak part two and he digs his heels in - get him gone and with that, to a degree his legacy.

We know how this script goes, but let’s see.
