@dhume In 2000 Pakistan was also able to fund significantly more terrorism in Kashmir and the rest of India than it can in 2026.
So, personally I hope whoever governs Pakistan continues to wreck its economy further. A failed Pakistan is a good thing for the region and the world.
@dhume@Aparna_Pande@kapskom For the last 10 years I have seen wishful thinking presented as fact about Modi.
If he wins the next election Indian democracy will be declared dead again.
Then that too will be tweeted and retweeted by the same morons tagged here.
No analysis and no introspection anywhere.

@DeepaParyani@Schandillia The morally debauched thugs are the ones she was “protesting” with. Personally I’m all for free speech, however vile, but I also can’t feel sorry for scumbags who engage in street violence & ally with anarchist and Islamist groups.
@Littletrae64@AlanFJr Muslims brought slavery to India (which ironically is where Zohran descends from). How about Muslims like Zohran pay reparations to India?
@KartikeyaTanna Giving them a free pass means there are no consequences to incessant protesting. The last thing India needs to do is encourage protests that inevitably result in violence.
@shaunmmaguire@aziz0nomics It is not just hard to map Islamists on a western axis; even in India the Islamists aren’t referred to as right wing - they’re just called jihadis. Their culture is alien to every civilization on earth, and vile to a degree that there is no existing category to place them in.
@aravind The sad thing is even the next time a protest breaks out the BJP will be caught by surprise, and it will let it spiral out of control again, and it will be just as afraid to respond & accept all conditions. This has happens 3 times now, which means they are incapable of learning.
@Tushar15 The one thing BJP has going for it is no matter how fatigued their core voters are by their spinelessness it is not like they will vote for any of the terrible alternatives either.
@Peshwashahi@Tushar15@LegalTalwar It did NOT emerge stronger. It did worse in the national election. Farmers did not get the reforms they needed. And every protest uses violence because it has been normalized. There was no benefit in any timeframe.
@patralekha2011 Critical thinking doesn’t come from cramming for exams. It also doesn’t come from mob violence. You are conflating two very different issues.
