4S have been looking at Article 28 - Access to Education. We talked about what Gaskell is like and compared it to other schools across the world. We then wrote our own acrostic poem. @GaskellRRSA
Each class has been given a display for their classroom door which informs anyone walking around our school, which rights were are currently learning about.
4S have been looking at their human rights. We looked at the 54 rights of a child and then discussed the difference between a want and a need. @GaskellRRSA
2L have discussed where we were from and found it on a map. We looked at classrooms from around the world and discussed how they were similar or different to our classroom. We learnt that everybody has the right to go to school & a good quality education. #article28@GaskellRRSA

Year 2 have been discussing their human rights. We voted for our top 5 that we think are the most important to uphold in school to help make our school charter. After that, we discussed the difference between a โneedโ and a โwantโ. @GaskellRRSA
We have been learning about #article28 during our assembly today and we discussed why it is important to remember those who have fought in the war. @GaskellRRSA
We also discussed how even though the bully is in the wrong, they still have the same human rights as us and that we should still respect their views. We discussed how we all deserve respect. @GaskellRRSA
Year 2 have started their new PSHE Topicq; Bullying. We discussed #article29 and how our aim is to learn how to respect each other and to learn how to help our mind, body and talents. We spoke about the different types of bullying and how to deal with this. @GaskellRRSA

We have been discussing the floods in Pakistan. We listened, thought and shared what a flood is. We listened to the sound of rain and discussed how it made us feel.
