What books does DGG have available?
(thread)
First is our ongoing Dark Poetry series, "An Exaltation of Shadows".
Mature Audiences, heavy subject matter.
Short stories from multiple poets, combined with fantasy shorts about the Gemstone Knights and their journey across stars.
@drevrpg Tunic of Companion Concealment
The tunic acts as an entrance to a Leomund's Hut, but designed specifically for the companion it's bound to.
Gives a place to hide, rest, be carried when injured, etc.
Wearer releases the animal with the command phrase, "I Choose You!"
@BrynDonovan A lot of people will say, "It's not the destination but the journey."
And that's totally valid. My issue is with the predictability of both.
If the journey and destination are the same each time, then how is it a new story?
I don't want Stouffer's mashed potatoes. I want yours.
Bad ttrpg magic item ideas:
1) Good Boy Shield - A person who liked pain in a previous life reincarnates as an intelligent shield.
2) Viridian Lamp Blade - a mighty sword but damage is halved against yellow targets.
3) Third Shift Glasses - Grants Dayvision 60 ft.
@RealGreyMage There are roughly a marioplex options for species in any game. But if using them doesn't help tell an interesting story or give a fun RP experience, then there's not much point in it being an option.
Just cause I can play a sentient bong doesn't mean I should.
@RealGreyMage The only ones I don't like are ones that are just made with no rhyme or reason and get no support.
Bladeling is a good example.
Little if any lore, playing one becomes a logistics issue, and their presence doesn't do much for the setting's ecosystem.
Let’s have a show of hands, Did you know that my partner and I run a privately funded foster home and sanctuary for cats and kittens called @harlot_house
@Gingerblast 2) I built a utility mage for what was a dungeon crawl/combat heavy campaign.
I was useless in combat, so no point in holding everyone else up.
But in general, I'll give any campaign 3 sessions before I'll dip.
@Gingerblast There's only been 2 occasions where I dipped out of a campaign.
1) cause I felt uncomfortable with how the dm assigned characters.
(Legend of Zelda harem fantasy thing that I did not agree to. And yes, I was Link.)
Con't...
@JessKHardy2000 See also:
1) How is participating in democratic process a sexual/romantic thing?
2) "God designed men to lead..." My boi, if men were designed for leadership, they'd be a lot better at it.
3) "...not women and harlots."
So if a man is a harlot, does that override the "design"?
