Emmanuel, "God with us". God is the imperishable aspect of who you are. Everything else is perishable, and will perish in time.

Complete surrender is impossible in the beginning. Partial surrender is certainly possible for all. In course of time, that will lead to complete surrender.
Ramana Maharshi
Bhagavan was repeatedly asked about the problem of destiny and freewill, the apparent and eternal opposites.
His answer, typically, offers not just a solution, but once and for all dissolves the problem. He said, “Destiny pertains to the body and is indisputable. But find out whether you are the body.”
He also said, “Man has only one freewill. That is to choose not to identify with one's body.”

Inherent Grace:
Question: Can everybody see God?
Bhagavan: Yes.
Question: Can I see God?
Bhagavan: Yes.
Question: Who is my guide to see God? Do I not need a guide?
Bhagavan: Who was your guide to Ramanasramam? With whose guidance do you see the world daily? God is your own Self beyond body, mind, and intellect. Just as you are able to see the world yourself, so also you will be able to see your Self if you earnestly strive to do so, your Self alone being your guide in that quest also.

Just like ice turns to water and water to vapour, and vapour dissolves in air and disappears in space, so does the body dissolve into pure awareness (chidakash), then into pure being (paramakash), which is beyond all existence and non-existence.
Nisargadatta, I am That
God is your own Self beyond body, mind, and intellect. Just as you are able to see the world yourself, so also you will be able to see your Self if you earnestly strive to do so, your Self alone being your guide in that quest also.

To be a Buddha, an enlightened, free being - all you need is to practice being in this moment mindfully.
Habit energy stops us from being in such an inner state.
But the good news is you are more powerful than the habit energy.
It needs practice, training oneself to be present every moment.
Start now, breathe.
One conscious breath is enough.
You've returned to this moment - you are completely free right now.
One moment of being present, liberates. Because if you can do it for one moment, two mindful moments naturally follow.
Once you experience what it actually means to be present - you can recreate that experience within you.
As you do that - you create mindful energy within you. This brings us happiness, unlimited joy, and true bliss.
What Mysticism Actually Is
The term “mysticism” is thrown around a lot, often incorrectly describing a variety of practices and experiences. Just a few blocks from my house is a Mystics Wellness Center that offers energy healing and tarot and provides a space for those who "want to practice a little magick." This isn’t mysticism.
Mysticism isn’t communicating with spirits, having visions, possession, or reading minds. Mysticism isn’t tarot, astrology, or energy healing.
Then what is mysticism?
Mysticism is the belief and practice of union with the Absolute.
What’s the Absolute? It depends who you ask. To a Christian, it is God; to a Buddhist, Nirvana; to a Hindu, Brahman; to an atheist, the natural universe or existence.
Throughout history and across all worldviews and belief systems, people have had experiences in which their sense of self, their sense of “I”, dissolved and they found themselves one with everything. This is the mystical experience.
If it's not about the dissolution of self and unity with the Absolute, it's not mysticism.
The joy of God is boundless, unceasing, and all the time new. Body, mind, nothing can disturb you when you are in that consciousness—such is the grace and glory of the Lord.
PARAMAHAMSA YOGANANDA
Human conditioning makes you fear that you'll die with nothing.
Facts: you are nothing.
Human thinking mind creates a hell of a lot of suffering believing that it will achieve things.
Okay, but for how long? Truth is - this life's gonna end, this lifetime is going to end.
Why are you then chasing materiality? It all looks stupid from this point of view.
All these desires mean nothing when you see truth of your being.
Suffering is mind-made. The source of that is within. Wake up.
I used to think inner peace meant controlling my mind.
I was wrong.
Here's what actually works:
Your awareness is like a sky. Thoughts and feelings are weather passing through.
Most people pick one cloud and call it "me." Then spend their whole life fighting other clouds.
This creates endless conflict. You're at war with your own inner space.
The shift that changes everything:
Stop asking "how do I get rid of this thought?"
Start asking "what is this thought appearing within?"
That question points you back to awareness itself - the space where everything shows up.
That space isn't disturbed by what moves through it.
You don't have to fix every thought. You don't have to win every inner argument.
You just have to notice you're the room, not the furniture.
Practical step: Next time you're caught in mental conflict, pause. Ask "what's aware of this right now?"
That's the peace you've been looking for. It was never somewhere else.
The cosmic mind being not limited by the ego, has nothing separate from itself and is therefore only aware. This is what the Bible means by “I am that I AM”.
Ramana Maharshi, Talk 188
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. It is easier to wage a battle against distant abstractions than to fight the quiet war inside one’s own soul. Yet this is the only war that ever mattered.”
— Leo Tolstoy
When you enter the silence through deep meditation, the world outside and all your troubles will drop away. You will experience undying bliss and it is in this silence that one acquires real strength and finds perennial joy.
Aum Namaha Babaji Kriya Shakti!
Spiritual awakening is very real. You will lose a lot of things. It comes with a deep cost. But you will gain something much greater in return: the truth.
The cost is your whole identity. You will lose your sense of self, the ego. The fake you.
You will lose a lot of friends. You will lose interest in certain things completely.
You no longer tolerate bullshit. You no longer care about drama or all the fake news.
You will move with clarity, purpose, passion & direction with this newly gained wisdom.
You're no longer sleepwalking through life on autopilot. You walk delicately, consciously & with full presence.
Your focus is on the magic of life. You don't take life for granted. You see how mystical everything is. You understand that it's a miracle to even exist.
You identify yourself as the entire universe, because that's who YOU truly are.
“Empty the heart of wrong feelings; let it be loving and forgiving....Never allow the ill feelings or actions of others to embitter you. If you do, then you are lost. You will not be able to help yourself or them. Keep your heart free of malice, no matter how anyone treats you, no matter what others do. If you give love, you will have peace in your soul.” — Sri Daya Mata

“Happiness is like the iceberg — three-fourths of it lies within, while one-fourth is revealed on the surface. Be happy within. Fill yourself with the abundance of joy that is deep within your heart. Meditate!” — Paramahansa Yogananda in “Solving the Mystery of Life”
