@sophaller This is the same misunderstanding people have when they say solar is taking over farm land. No, neither data centers nor solar are taking over significant amounts of farm land. Golf courses use 2.6x more farm land than solar, yet nobody's complaining.

The offside rule def kills the flow of the game, but the inconsistencies in calling is worse. You aren't supposed to grab player's shirts or body, but it happens every second of the game and they get away with it. When a player flops, it gets called sometimes, so players are flopping everywhere with Oscar performances.

Then there's the red card situation, one player steps on another without looking at him gets a red card. Another player steps on a player while looking at him does not get carded at all. The inconsistencies in calling is just bad for the game.

With that said I love the sport and will keep watching.

@HistoryWJacob Flopping and fake injuries are the biggest cringe for me. However we're seeing more and more of that in basketball as well, so it's not a soccer/football thing.
