Promoting Renewable & Low Carbon Transport Fuels, for rapid decarbonisation. The role that fuels can play must not be overlooked in drive for electrification.
@beisgovuk @cffertilisers Ensus has just emerged from its scheduled annual overhaul, and it's great news that its much-needed grade CO2 will again be available to the food and beverage industry. Congratulations to all at the Ensus bioethanol plant.
If it is so difficult for Government to bring about this simple, instant and almost cost free step to reduce carbon emissions, what hope is there of achieving the action that #extinctinctionrebellion#ClimateEmergency#GretaThunberg and others are calling for?
https://t.co/C1QXSgauED Coverage on BBC Regional News, 1st March 2019. The Ensus Bioethanol plant in Wilton, Teesside resumes production, but Grant Pearson, Commercial Director, cites concerns over the potential reduction in import tariffs as a result of Brexit #stopzerotariffs
@JamesHadden2 Sorry, I’ve only just seen your message, some several months late! I saw it in a field near Cooksbridge, near Lewes. It was the common stork, those you see nesting on chimney tops, but not here in the UK. The type pictured carrying babies...
Concern re poorer drivers with older (and dirtier) cars has influenced Govt's #E10 consultation. But is it misplaced? Research on https://t.co/n4EWzru0Gh shows older cars are mostly found in richer communities (pos as 2nd / 3rd car in household). This is a case of tail wags dog.
This shows v clearly, how short transport (+heat) are in comparison with renewable power in meeting RE targets. Shown by REA @ #sharedambition18 event. E10 would be a quick win, says Nina #BE10percentgood
Lots of interest in my tweet on #airquality benefits of #E10 (up to 95% reduction in PM, 60% toxics, 34% NOx) - and requests for the source. Find the full set of presentations from the @APPGBioethanol meeting, and the source for these impressive stats here https://t.co/0LTrXldmrJ
Just 5% more #bioethanol in petrol and we get 95% reductions in particulates, NOx down by 34% & carcinogens by 60%. Govt. please let us #BE10percentgood - bring on #E10
The Vivergo plant in Humberside has reopened after a four-month shut-down, but Government needs to act now to introduce #E10 to ensure it's longevity, employment and benefits to British farmers https://t.co/BXm5ruotCq
EU Ministers’ meeting decisions yesterday - 14% RE in transport for each member state + sub-target of 3% for advanced biofuels. The crop cap stays at 7%, but a member state could set it lower and reduce its overall target for renewables in transport - see https://t.co/WbbfXyWAMc
Pleased to hold a very positive productive meeting with @AndyMcDonaldMP today regarding RTFO legislation and the need for #E10 fuel to decarbonise transport
