In an open letter to @CMShehbaz FAPUASA demanded restoration of 75% tax rebate 4 Uni faculty. President @amjadmagsi said withdrawal of tax exemption directly effect the academia & universities wil be handicapped to play their effective role in the development of country.
The Executive Council of FAPUASA expressed serious concerns over the end of the 25% tax rebate exemption for university teachers. Central President @amjadmagsi emphasized that the termination of this exemption would result in decreased salaries for many university staff.
FAPUASA demanded that the recurrent budget had been stagnant since 2018 and there was an urgent need to increase the budget from current 65 billion to 500 billion otherwise manifold increase in fees will deprive a large number of students of getting higher education

~~ An Open Letter to Speaker National Assembly @RPAPPP / Chairman Senate @OfficeSenate on the future direction of HEC @hecpkofficial ~~
I’ve come to know that through Private Members Bill and without any consultation with the stakeholders, the autonomy of the universities is being undermined and role of HEC is being changed from facilitator to a policing body.
These closed door amendments would further damage higher education sector, which is already facing numerous challenges. Also this bill is proposed without any consultation with stakeholders, including the academic fraternity and students.
These amendments also encroach upon the domains of the provinces and threaten to render higher education institutions subordinate to the HEC, thereby reducing our autonomy.
I am exceptionally appreciative to the great teaching community of Punjab University for showing amazing sustenance and re-electing me for 3rd consecutive times as Secretary ASA. I feel humbled & honoured.
Excited to announce the approval of nine landmark projects worth Rs. 587 million at the historic 67th Syndicate meeting. Celebrating 20 years as a university with initiatives taking @gcuniversitylhr to new heights. Grateful that syndicate members appreciated efforts of my team.
