@printrbot@brendonbuilds 2/2 In your design, the add. of an extra moving axis on the XY frame will reduce build volume. A bed that moves in Z can have these components placed below the Moving XY components
@printrbot@brendonbuilds 1/2 For me, Effective desktop CoreXY design is a compromise between overall machine size vs print area. Eg, A 20mm fan on the gantry will reduce print area by 20mm.
@nathan22211@brendonbuilds Yes it does. All slicers support heated beds, and if they don't you can manually add it by opening your gcode file and adding 'M140 S60' somewhere near the beginning. Change S60 to temp of your choice (eg, S80 for 80c if you use celsius on your printer).
@nathan22211@brendonbuilds No reason why you couldn't make one yourself... aliexpress make silicone heating pads in every shape under the sun with cutouts, mounting holes, adhesive etc and in any voltage, wattage you could ever desire, and they'll do this to your custom spec
@elianarose66@MarkWheadon@VectorRoll It is bad practice to solder moving components, especially heated moving components due to solder fatigue https://t.co/vFycO04EMP
@adrianbowyer I've just discovered that urine diverting toilets are a real invention, very useful! This diagram has brown and yellow arrows for clarity. Source: https://t.co/7l3xXG05Cs
@adrianbowyer @IpsosMORI I'm sure we could set up a few raspberry pis to run the software and claim the 20 quid (per raspberry pi).. possibly more profitable than bitcoin mining per kWh haha
@Rushmere3D Check out motedis, I'm not sure they have it in black but they do have funky extrusion profiles like corners and angles and have every accessory you can think up.
