@kenshirotism One of my online posts was used as evidence in a protection order case against another person. I had been asked to check up on someone, and I declined. The case was also pro se. The defendant lost because they verbally admitted to doing drive-by surveillance for a BF. Odd stuff.
@goat_ralsei@lenraleigh@oltexasboy@gmail This feels like arguing for the sake of arguing. The fear comes from the message being sent in error. Many people including those with diverse personal emails still have Gmail integration with a lot of important things.
@PedoPanderer@KeyTryer Yes, it is possible. If it comes to fruition, I too would like to see clearer standards that don't severely limit business opportunities. I'm not betting anything either way.
Nearly all forms of regulation have to face this type of scrutiny.
@PedoPanderer@KeyTryer It may cause companies that behave this way to be more cautious, out of concern about precedent, a settlement setting the standard too high, and/or permanent injunctions. Repeatedly committing these offenses can also cause stiffer penalties. It won't be clear until it's tested.
@Martiangunsmith I've been seeing this a lot for machinist labor near me. Why would you do this kind of work if you can get a full-time job with zero background at a grocery store stocking shelves for $18-19?
@postscarcityhc@GreenTextRepost There are plenty of ways, but they take time. Time forces most people to contemplate a rational outcome. The more impermanent or emotionally state-based the initial reason is, the more likely someone is to find an alternative, even if it is highly uncomfortable.
@wave_frost54465@Screwtape77@Sargon_of_Akkad You know it when you see it.
Sort of, but they're mostly poorly run or packed with agitators.
I've never met someone IRL who describes themself as Judeo-Christian (I think that's more of a politician thing)
Everybody "knows" what they want until they meet someone.
@Screwtape77@Sargon_of_Akkad Where I'm from, there is a bit more pride in heterosexual "trashy" sexual behavior from the right; the left is more into alternative lifestyles while extolling social contracts, which they largely neglect themselves. Left shame seems centered around power and right, weakness.
