YES! MUSLIMS KILLED MY HUSBAND 💔
BUT people who saved us are also Muslims. ❤️
The terrorists asked if my husband is a Muslim and shot him.
But the cab drivers, pony riders, people throughout who helped us were Muslims.
I grew up with Muslims in my street, I have friends who are Muslims.
Terrorism is not about religion!
Kamakshi, wife of Madhusudhan, who was killed by terrorists in Pahalgam.
My heartfelt salute to her. ❤️🙏🏽
Despite all the pain and trauma she is undergoing, she chose to be rational.
Her judgement was not clouded.
She is a true hero!
People like her give us hope that this country will not be shattered by hate.
Terrorists have no religion!
And humanity trumps all religions!!!

INDIA will finish the unfinished business of 2014:
1. On Feb 14th 2014, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh pledged special category status to the new state of Andhra Pradesh for 5 years. BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu countered by saying BJP if elected to power will extend it for 10 years. Two months later Narendra Modi, in the holy city of Tirupati, repeated the promise.
2. For the past 10 years the outgoing Modi Sarkar did nothing. It, in fact, abolished the very policy of special category status to financially distressed states.
3. The Indian National Congress has in its 2024 election manifesto pledged to declare special category status to Andhra Pradesh as promised by Dr. Manmohan Singh. This is our guarantee.
In what looked like a scene out of a movie, doctors at Amala Hospital in Kerala's Thrissur did the unthinkable.
A 37-year-old woman passenger in a KSRTC bus went into labour and was immediately taken to the hospital in the bus. As the delivery was almost over, wasting no time, doctors and staff quickly rushed into the vehicle and helped her to take the child out.

These reforms should have been implemented yesterday. But its still not too late to #MakeParliamentGreatAgain!
As we head into the general elections later this year, as #citizens who directly get affected by Parliament's functioning, we must demand political parties to implement these reforms.
What are these reforms? We have prepared a list of 15 suggestions for reforms which, if implemented, will make the functioning of our #Parliament more democratic, inclusive, transparent and effective. These reforms relate to Parliament sessions, questions, bills, committees, budget process, public consultation process etc. Please find the full list in attached picture.
How were these reforms drafted? Several of these reforms are based on recommendations made by expert committees and best practices followed in several other democracies. We held consultations with concerned citizens closely following Parliament before listing these reforms. You can read more about the research and process that went into it here - https://t.co/57cHYf6Ueg
So, now, what can you do? Endorse, share, like, retweet, talk about it and basically make this campaign your own! This is a people's campaign. Political parties will only take it seriously if large number of concerned citizens support it.
If you wish to endorse, you can do so in any of the following ways, as per your convenience:
1. On @Civis_Vote platform - https://t.co/z5lxVWQVBc
2. Through a Whatsapp chatbot - https://t.co/Gn0WcL1Ax8
3. Through a google form - https://t.co/wuBS7900WC
When citizens engage, things change.
Come, let's #MakeParliamentGreatAgain!
@shamkashyap and I are anticipating some clarity in next few months. With BJP adding new cash transfers while toning down on freebies rhetoric, and Congress’s guarantee cards in play, we may witness a new wave of welfare promises leading us to Universal Basic Income era(3/3)
All ruling parties lost the #AssemblyElection2023. This could be due to silent anti-incumbency, coupled with economic discomfort in Indian households. Though citizens may not be ready to acknowledge the economic discomfort, it appears like they are responding to poll promises(1/3
That alleviate their concerns. Despite similar promises from incumbents in all states, the anti-incumbency factor prevented voters from trusting them. Will these elections set the context for a new era of welfare poll promises?(2/3
Presented my thoughts at #ILDC2023 on local land management strategies when political incentives aren't clear. Legal provisions and schemes like #MGNREGA enable protection & development of commons. But infrastructure/housing have stronger incentives leading to perverse decisions.
3,195 children killed in #Gaza in just three weeks has surpassed the annual number of children killed across the world's conflict zones since 2019. We are calling for an immediate ceasefire.
#MGNREGA has completed 18 years & has evolved continuously. Implementation priorities have been redefined every year, together with larger goals like employment generation. This video snippet from 2010, shows one instance such change; in wage payment mechanisms in #Karnataka.
