🇺🇬 WANGADYA: “MY RESIGNATION WAS REJECTED”

Before COSASE, Uganda Human Rights Commission Chairperson Mariam Fauzat Wangadya was asked to clarify her status following reports that she had resigned.

Wangadya told the Committee that she had written to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni resigning, but said the resignation was rejected and that she remains the substantive Chairperson of the Commission.
