Last week, @ISUAMS hosted their annual end-of-year banquet! This event celebrates all the many accomplishments of the chapter throughout the year, while also serving as a final send-off for graduating seniors in meteorology.
We were honored to host Dr. Armin Sorooshian as our seminar speaker. His talk on visually imperceptible aerosol particles left us with a deeper understanding of their impact. Our graduate students enjoyed showing him around our campus and hearing about his academic journey.
Their collaborative work aims to improve guidance for rural utility companies in Iowa to minimize power outages, while also considering the potential impacts of climate change on weather hazards.
Congratulations to Dr. Bill Gallus and his ENDURE team for receiving the 2023 Interdisciplinary Team Research Award from the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost @IowaStateU! #interdisciplinary#collaboration#climatechange
