@TheWatchers_ Once a landslide area ... always the landslide risk. Learn of the geology beneath your feet. If one is smart enough, doing this will save you time, money and even your life.

@TheWatchers_ I read a paper from a year or so ago about these ice quakes and how there's a slow slip/ETS that happens. I'd have to find that article again.
@Geo_Risk@douleurr_ Throughout this seismic crisis, the greatest misunderstanding is knowing what the term "fluid migration" means. Its never been explained, so people think fluid migration means magma movement ... when actually, fluid migration is a different process.
@EurekAlert@OregonState How about asking Utah golf courses to reduce their water intake?? Up to now, they're pushing back at any efforts to regulate and report their usage amounts. Reducing irrigation for livestock is striking at the heart of society's foundation. ... And golf courses do what??
@earthquakeguy Hello John ... Great year-end wrap up! Though SK/MB has low seismicity, would smaller earthquakes, related to the mining/drilling industry be excluded from this map? I don't care either way ... I'm just curious. Thanks!
@HubGeology If this decrease continues, I suspect many folks will experience the symptoms of magma melancholy. Volcanic activity or the potential of, provide tantalizing, edge of the seat viewing for a world audience!
@earthquakeguy Experiment time! ... Let's see if this plays out. Keep an eye on offshore Vancouver Island for possible activity. I've noticed when Quebec shakes, many times, Offshore west coast shakes -- from Offshore Vancouver Island and south to Offshore WA
@earthquakeguy@50ShadesofVan @EarthScope_sci Wind-whipped land! It's interesting to learn the different types of signatures picked seismos pick up. It's frustrating when folks think intense sigs like this are EQs and its near impossible to convince them otherwise. IRIS's video on this is helpful. https://t.co/vbNcwMZEBs
