This time, we're talking with @kelseyCbishop, founder at @saidwithcandor, about leveraging employer AND employee brands to attract and retain the right kinds of candidates, especially in remote teams!
My career as a '9-5' employee is over and it feels great! I begin my next chapter on Monday, where my employer lets me work the hours that fit my schedule.
They have the confidence and trust that I can be productive w/out clocking in at 9 and out at 5. It's an amazing feeling🙏
If you want to leave a job quietly, choose the day before a holiday 😂 It removes all of the awkwardness with co-workers, which is great for an introvert!
@ClausISaidSo@bubble This is the million dollar question for all builders who want to use no-code/low-code on a daily basis. Please figure it out and help us all get into full-time roles using these platforms. 🙏
It's cool to work with technology when it's brand new. However, you also need to be patient to see it mature. I was building web apps between 1999 - 2006 using JavaScript and was regularly frustrated by it. Now, I'm enjoying the journey! And getting help from @launchschool
@ClausISaidSo@mahirfaleel@bubble Interesting workflow. I suppose that's a clever way to not have to step through sign-in screens while testing! However, I did laugh since all Bubble training I've seen goes through the sign-in building process first.
Congrats on wrapping up another project!
Parents of high school kids...what technology or innovation class(es) do you want them to take? And, which are they personally excited for? Pls add links so I can see the possibilities!
I wonder which ones are @BaltCoPS favorites and which ones my sons might love?? #innovation
In order to focus my javascript training, I'm concentrating on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React + NodeJS), which I learned about today from @academind_real. Plus, the acronym sounds much better than the old MEAN stack. 👿 #100DaysOfCode
@perborgen@ojabowalola@shikuwangombe@scrimba Great idea to educate coders on no-code tools. If you're interested in names of some amazing no-code builders that could support your course, let me know and I'll DM you.
I've decided to re-learn Javascript. The last time I did it was 2006. Nothing has changed since then, correct? 🤪
My career started as a front-end developer using Javascript with Active Server Pages. I'm not sure if programming full-time is in my future, but I'm excited to try!
@julialukashuk_ The challenge is coming up with a term to replace 'no-code', where everyone immediately understands the category of things you're describing. I like 'visual development' but think no-code is here to stay.
I'm going to add an electric fence to our property this summer for our dog (American Staffy/Husky/Beagle mix). We were planning to do the typical in-ground fence, but I saw an ad for @HaloCollar. Anyone have feedback? I'm curious about benefits for the price and monthly fees.
