Katibu Mkuu wa Wizara ya Utalii na Mambo ya Kale, Dkt. Aboud Jumbe @aboudjumbe , leo amefanya uzinduzi rasmi wa Warsha ya Uwezeshaji kwa wadau wa sekta ya utalii kupitia Programu ya Tathmini ya Faida ya Jumla ya Sekta ya Utalii kwa Taifa (Total Economic Impact of Tourism).
Warsha hiyo imefanyika katika ukumbi wa Hotel Verde Zanzibar, ikiwakutanisha wadau mbalimbali wa sekta ya utalii wakiwemo wawakilishi wa taasisi za umma na binafsi, wataalamu wa uchumi pamoja na washirika wa maendeleo.
Akizungumza wakati wa uzinduzi huo, Dkt. Jumbe alisema kuwa programu hiyo inalenga kupima mchango halisi wa sekta ya utalii katika uchumi wa Taifa, ikiwa ni pamoja na ajira, mapato ya Serikali, uwekezaji na maendeleo ya kijamii.
Alisisitiza kuwa tathmini hiyo itasaidia Serikali kupanga mikakati madhubuti ya kukuza sekta hiyo kwa tija na uendelevu zaidi.
Mafunzo hayo yameandaliwa na Wizara ya Utalii na Mambo ya Kale Zanzibar kwa kushirikiana na United Nations Economic Commission for Africa @ECA_OFFICIAL , yakilenga kuwajengea uwezo Wadau kuhusu mbinu za kisasa za Ukusanyaji na Uchambuzi wa takwimu za kiuchumi zinazohusiana na Utalii.
Matokeo ya tathmini hiyo yanatarajiwa kuwa nyenzo Muhimu katika kufanya maamuzi ya kisera, kuvutia Uwekezaji na
kuongeza Ushindani wa sekta ya Utalii katika soko la kimataifa. Washiriki wa warsha hiyo wanatarajiwa kupata uelewa wa kina kuhusu mbinu za kupima mchango wa moja kwa moja na usio wa moja kwa moja wa sekta ya Utalii katika pato la taifa, Ajira, mapato ya fedha za kigeni pamoja na Sekta nyingine zinazohusiana.
Warsha hiyo ni sehemu ya juhudi za Serikali ya Mapinduzi ya Zanzibar inayoongozwa na Dkt. Hussein Ali Mwinyi Rais wa Zanzibar na Mwenyekiti wa Baraza la Mapinduzi @DrHmwinyi katika kuendeleza sekta ya Utalii kama moja ya nguzo kuu za Uchumi wa Taifa.
