Unfortunately, the slashing proposal 818 on @cosmoshub turns out to be invalid.

Thus, @notionaldao will be moving to veto prop 818 which proposed to slash @cosmos_voice and @pupmos.

I believe that more than one week has passed since the slashing event, and that means that the network will fail to slash @cosmos_voice and @pupmos.

Beyond that, my next steps are to move towards safer defaults in @cometbft.

To be extremely clear, I believe that it is critical that we slash equivocating validators, but am unwilling to make a signaling prop to do it. The window of opportunity to slash dog and robot has now passed.

Thanks to @zmanian, @informalinc, @JTremback, @gyunit_, and even @pupmos and @cosmos_voice for participating in this process with candor.

At this time I am open to ideas on how to proceed, but I believe that both the dog and the robot have been sufficiently socially slashed.

Provided that dog and robot both recognize that the failure was caused in their internal systems, by their teams, I consider this matter concluded.

Yes it's all social consensus and it always has been, but we have a battle-proven protocol to achieve this consensus. It is our duty to enforce this protocol, except in the destined case of a malicious consumer chain.
