@AyooTexanNation That position has been a bit of a revolving door, so who would the others be? Glover Quin? Danieal Manning? 2nd stint Quintin Demps? Andre Hal? Justin Reid? I think there might be an argument for #1 unless we count guys like KJack who spent most of his time here at CB.

Dolphins already had a bottom 5 ranked OL last year, which might be even worse with how bad Slowiks blocking scheme got exposed in 2024. Expect them to send 5 to block 6 or 7 very often. Both ending up in the 13-15 ppg range seems realistic

@AyooTexanNation I mean Drake Maye had 4 fumbles and an INT the same game. Weather was definitely a factor, but CJ looked like he got in his head about it, tried to do too much, and avalanched a bit. As a team, it also didn’t help having a new OC that didn’t seem to do much to try and settle him

@famu_eng @JeremyBranham Exactly. It was a pretty big point last offseason that him not being able to adjust protection at the LoS cost them the year before. They add that to the offense, and he took the fewest sacks of his career despite his best pass protector getting traded away.

@TitansBy20 @CryLawson Texans defense was 14 in yards and 11th in points CJs rookie year. That’s not mentioning several games that year (TB, ATL, CIN, CAR) defense let the team down after a stroud go ahead drive late in the 4th, and Stroud still found a way to win the ones he got the ball back.

@JalenTheginger @AyooTexanNation Both. Imo on defense the long term cornerstones are Sting, Will, Lassiter, and Pitre. You keep them no matter what, hope to keep bullock if you can, then draft well to keep filling in the rest when you can longer afford some of the other guys like Hunter.

@TexansCommenter I’m a bit higher on him as a Texans fan, but this is probably not too far off. The one thing all of those ahead of him have done is build good OLs capable of running the ball well. Hopefully Caserio did that this year. If so, he should be much higher.

@DanJK0320 @CryLawson Not even reality, their team got worse this offseason while everyone else in the division got better. Texans improved the run game and defense, Titans essentially upgraded all around, and Colts are still a good team when healthy. Meanwhile Jags lost two of their best players.

@AyooTexanNation @JJSugarTV That’s a bit different than competing for WR1. I’d compare what you’re talking about to situations like Jamo & ASB in DET. Like sometimes the game plan calls for the WR2 to just exploit certain matchups and have a bigger game, but that doesn’t make him their WR1.

It’s clear who was prioritized to put up numbers that year. Diggs was nice, but Nico was obviously WR1.
