Had she not fought for her life against Ion Linguar she would have ended up in a body bag. Her will and determination to stay alive for her boy compelled her to do anything she had to to escape. As she says some victims were not so lucky. Lauren @bowd27845 is someone who can, from experience, attest to how dangerous it is to be allowing people in who are not criminally background checked. Despite the state being squarely responsible for what happened to her, they have abandoned her entirely since the attack.

She is still in need of housing if you know of anyone who can offer a place to rent for her and her children (she now has two boys). One has serious special needs and needs stable housing.
I am proud to call Lauren a friend and she is the bravest woman I know.
