I've pretty much abandoned Twitter, so maybe a last post with a critique of the new logo, on a less annoying platform is the way to go: https://t.co/mFrGNCxkiJ
We're holding an Open Morning next week in the Department. Come and talk to us if you're interested in Masters or PhDs in the best place to study typography, type design, and other designedly ways of handling texts. https://t.co/TqIn1jl3dm
@railair Your new restrictions to "travel only on the service booked" penalise passengers arriving into LHR on delayed flights. you expect passengers to rebook at least an hour in advance while airborne?
If you got your PhD in the last seven years, are based outside the UK, and want to spend two years doing research here, this is a great opportunity (with a rapid deadline): https://t.co/fHgM9RcHrL
@Samfr Do you know of any research in the differences of staffing across school categories by subject? Thinking of both presence of staff and churn for STEM subjects.
@LEUSavage @ucu And senior staff who may go PT to avoid repeat burnouts / protect mental health / family shouldn’t be prorated as FT. PT pay cut is essentially a payment to safeguard health. 2/2
@LEUSavage @ucu PT employment issue is important. People on partial/hourly contracts are most likely taking up whatever is on offer and are making do however they can, they don’t chose to earn/publish/teach/save towards their pension less. This especially so in early career contracts. 1/2
It’s been a joy to be a part of this: a research-informed approach to typeface revivals, with application beyond its subject, and writing system: @michele_ptn and Riccardo Olocco’s Designing type revivals

Have been waiting to get my hands on this. @ISType was a perfect launch for the book (thank you Onur for organising, and sponsors for making it possible). Get it at https://t.co/WIZMtc7K4x
@JTasioulas Your discipline is not alone in this quality. And if you experience disbelief by some that it is a profession at all, then welcome to a club with excellent membership 😊
@simoncozens Upside, it’s better drama than anything available to stream. Downside, the producers are paying for the show with our education, health, social care, and pensions.
