It seems that @drmartens is struggling to modernize. My new #drmartens fell apart. I took them to the store. They told me it was clearly a defect but they couldn’t help me because I purchased them from the online store.
@REGINAPARIS1 This year he should get an award in the category of “I Prefer Keeping Guest Money Even When Strikes Prevent Them From Getting To The Hotel.”
@JeffHandley It was fine for getting wills and trusts setup. And once for a real estate transaction. The two other times more recently when I tried to use them, the attorneys told me bluntly that ARAG pays poorly and the real estate transaction was complicated so no thanks.
While I wait for fiber install, I am tethering to @EE “paygo” service paying their anti-immigrant pricing. No credit history in the UK gives them license to abuse.
Q: @EE can I buy a mobile broadband device?
A: No, you are an immigrant. You must buy it in a shop and pay more to top up every month.
EE Shops: We only have devices for the monthly plan and you have no credit history. Welcome to the UK.
Q: @EE, can I give you £480 for 24 months of service with 150GB of data.
A: No, we are anti-immigrant. You have no credit history in the UK. You can pay the same but only get 30GB. This protects you from bills you might not be able to pay.
Another day of paying @EE 5x more for mobile data because I am an immigrant without a UK credit history and they must “protect the general public from identity fraud.”
@mikemilleresq@EE It’s the principal of it that is offensive. The @EE policy of refusing to put me on a monthly plan when I offer to pay the 2 years up front is clearly designed to take advantage of immigrants. Why would I need UK credit history to pay in full?
@davidebbo@EE The PAYG (pre-pay) is £20 ($26) for 30GB. I live at the Marriott while househunting and hotel wifi is spotty so I use my phone. The non-immigrant price is £20 for 150GB. I offer to give them the whole £480 up front. They say no credit history, you have to keep topping up.
@EE EE sets policy to take advantage of immigrants. I have offered to pay the entire contract up front. And can provide identity credentials issued by the UK government. This isn’t about helping me or the public. It is EE practicing discrimination.
Impressed with the speed of the @EE network. Unimpressed that @EE charges me 5x more for data because I am an immigrant with no credit history in the UK. I am not asking for credit.
@EE I just moved to the UK. I have no credit history here. So EE tells me I am stuck with PayGo plans. £20 for 30GB instead of 150GB on contract. And won’t sell me a 4GEE wifi device. I offer to pay the whole contract up front but EE says no. Taking advantage of immigrants.
