A short sentence sums up Getachew Reda article’s bias in Al Jazeera: “Pretoria Agreement’s implementation was a work in progress.” Progress toward what, exactly? A blockade of fuel, medicines, and cash? The suspension of federal funding transfers? 1/2

❗️A family in distress! (Please Retweet)
Samson Teklemichael, a father of three a loving husband and a prominent businessman was driving home, when he was pulled over by traffic police in Nairobi, #Kenya and herded off in a Subaru by three plain clothed policemen on November 19, 2021.
Since that fateful day, Samson has never been seen or heard from. It is believed that his abduction is done in collusion between #Ethiopia government and some authorities in #Kenya.
His wife of 17 years and his three young children, no matter how much they long for their father and the head of their household and they are trying everything earthly possible to hear from him, it is becoming a monumental task and difficult for them.
Not only for the sake of his three young children and loving wife, whose father is lost without a trace, but for the sake of humanity and common decency, it is imperative we all join our collective voices and demand #Kenyan and #Ethiopian authorities to tell us, where Samson is.
If we don't speak for him now, no one will speak for our loved ones tomorrow, should this happen to any of us.
#Kenyan authorities.
We implore you to tell us, where Samson is. If you believe that he is in a wrong side of the law and transgressed it in anyway, please bring him to any court of the law. Have his family see him. Let them know he is alive and well or otherwise. That will be a very decent and civilized thing to do.
Samson's friends, family and all concerned community members will take this message to Kenyan authorities, on a demonstration that will be held on Monday February 27, 2023 at #Kenya Embassy in #WashingtonDC 12:00 AM

I applaud the role of U.S. diplomacy and @MikeHammerUSA. There is a long road ahead of us in creating a real peace in #Ethiopia and for ensuring real justice for the victims of this war. (4/4)
Furthermore, lasting peace requires inclusion and justice. There must be accountability for the atrocities, which include ethnic cleansing, starvation as a weapon of war, mass rape, and mass detentions of #Tigrayan civilians. (3/4)
I welcome the permanent cessation of hostilities in #Ethiopia. When millions have suffered unspeakable atrocities, any opportunity for peace is one that cannot be squandered. Most importantly, unrestricted humanitarian aid must enter #Tigray immediately. (1/4)
I am however deeply concerned about reports of ongoing shelling in #Tigray since the immediate cessation of hostilities was announced. The peace agreement must be respected and all hostilities must end. (2/4)
#Tigray has run out of medical supplies such as vaccines, antibiotics & insulin. @WHO, warns that many deaths were probably going unrecorded from preventable and treatable diseases. "I urge the international community to give this crisis the attention it deserves." - @DrTedros
The regimes of 🇪🇹 and 🇪🇷 are committing unprecedented genocide against the people of Tigray by carrying out disease, starvation, drone strikes, artillery attacks, mass killings, etc. And the @IC is silently watching this horrific genocide.

In Tigray, a number of Multi-drug Resistant Tuberculosis patients on treatment have stopped treatment and defaulted > 17 months. It is difficult to imagine how and where it is spreading to, and what kind of resistant TB is developing. That even is a threat to the World. @WHO
If there were humanity & justice in the 🌍, I believe the videos that have been self-recorded by the Amhara, E🇪🇷n+🇪🇹n forces as they've been committing barbarous crimes on the people of #Tigray could have sufficed to call the crimes GENOCIDE!
