I have just encountered a story in Mark 3:1-6 that has blown my mind.Jesus entered a synagogue on the Sabbath. Then He noticed a man with a withered hand.
Mark never tells us the man's name.He introduces him by his condition. That is what pain often does. It steals your identity until people no longer see you for who you are, but for what happened to you.
Now think about the withered https://t.co/si358PzUBb was not https://t.co/c9NYyrkrZ3 was not https://t.co/rrCvQypDJt was still attached to his body. The fingers were there. The arm was there. But it had dried up. It had lost its strength. It could no longer do what it had been created to do.
The problem was not absence. The problem was inability👌
How many people are living like that today?
The withered hand is a picture of unused potential. There is something tragic about carrying a gift that never gets expressed because fear, disappointment, rejection, or failure slowly caused it to wither.
It also speaks of limitation. In a culture where people survived by the work of their hands, this man's condition affected every part of his life. Day after day he was reminded of what he could not do. That is the danger of living with limitation for too long. It doesn't just restrict your actions. It reshapes your thinking. You stop trying. You stop dreaming. You stop believing. Eventually, you build your life around what you think is impossible.
But there is something even deeper. The withered hand represents lost dominion.
From the beginning, God gave mankind hands to cultivate, build, create, bless, provide, and exercise dominion over the earth. Hands represent productivity, stewardship, influence, and purpose.
When this man's hand withered, he did not just lose movement. He lost function. He lost influence. He lost the ability to fully express what God had placed within him.
That is exactly how the enemy works. His greatest strategy is not always to destroy you.Sometimes it is simply to make you ineffective. Then Jesus gave a command that makes no human sense.
"Stretch out your hand."
The very hand that could not stretch was the one Jesus asked him to stretch. He did not heal it first. He commanded it first. The miracle met the man's obedience. And his hand was restored, whole as the other.
Maybe Jesus is asking some of us to do the same tonight.
Stretch your faith again.Stretch that gift again.Stretch that vision again.Stretch that prayer life again.Stretch that business again.
Stretch that ministry again.
What have you stopped stretching because you no longer believe it can live again?
Perhaps the greatest miracle is waiting on the other side of your obedience.
The area that has withered is not beyond the reach of the One who created it. One word from Jesus can restore years of lost function, lost purpose, and lost dominion.
Declare this boldly;I am stretching again. What God placed in me will not die unused.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
-------------------
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen

Wueh! Sifuna is in express way at astronomical speed. If no slowing down..... I have no words. President Ruto may not want to go that direction of confrontational politics. Hawa vijana seems are not Raila Odinga.
On the day the Nobel peace prize recognises international judge Navi Pillay, the US announces institutional sanctions against the ICC.
I am writing this from Nuremberg where 80 years ago, American judges and lawyers played a crucial role in trying the highest Nazi leaders and commanders, and establishing the foundational principles of international criminal law.
80 years later, what a betrayal.
The Trump administration’s decision is appalling.
But ultimately, it is not about them. It is about us. The US grotesque decision is a test for all European governments which have been tiptoeing, shying away from confronting and responding to the predatory actions from the trump administration.
They now need to rise to the moment. History demands of Europe that it stands for international justice and its institutions.
There is only one possible response: impose immediately blocking orders. The US sanctions cannot and should not be implemented on European territory.
This is not a USA moment. This is a “Us” moment. Let’s rise to it.
Because humanity must win.

Africa still has no permanent seat on the Security Council.
A 21st century Security Council without permanent African representation is unjust & indefensible.
We must reform the Council so that it reflects today’s world with the legitimacy and effectiveness that today’s challenges demand.
The challenges before world leaders at the General Assembly:
Will humanity govern power wisely?
Will we uphold the law before impunity becomes normalized?
Will we end wars before they consume generations?
Will we tackle inequality before societies fracture?
Will we accelerate climate action before tipping points are crossed?
Will we governing AI before it governs us?
My message to #UNGA: https://t.co/t4lvE6zodR
I welcome the leadership of the President of Finland & the Prime Minister of Norway in launching the Call for Control of Frontier AI Models, which calls for @UN member countries to build on existing international mechanisms & explore creating an international institution able to set standards, enable verification & convene states when capability thresholds are crossed.
I also welcome today's release of the first thematic brief of the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI.
I encourage external experts, including from frontier AI labs & safety institutes, to engage with the Panel.

The world faces three existential threats:
Runaway artificial intelligence.
The climate crisis.
And the intolerable deepening of inequalities.
Next week, world leaders are coming together at #UNGA.
My message to them:
International cooperation is more important than ever.

SHOCKING CLASH: Donald Trump CALLS POPE LEO XIV “AN INSULT TO JESUS” — THE POPE’S RESPONSE STUNS THE WORLD
Donald Trump believed he could score easy political points by calling Pope Leo XIV “an insult to Jesus,” after the spiritual leader once again spoke out in defense of peace, compassion, and human dignity. However, he was challenging a voice rooted not in politics, but in moral authority.
Standing before a solemn gathering at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV did not respond with anger. Instead, he delivered a powerful and deeply moving message grounded in faith, responsibility, and truth.
“The President of the United States has said that I insult Jesus,” Pope Leo XIV began, his voice calm yet firm. “But let us reflect honestly — what truly insults the teachings of Christ?”
Then, with quiet intensity, he answered:
“You want to know what truly insults Jesus? It is when we turn away from those who suffer, when we close our hearts to the poor, and when we choose power over compassion while others cry out for mercy.”
He continued:
“You know what insults Jesus? It is forgetting the dignity of every human being, ignoring the pain of families in crisis, and refusing to hear the voices of the most vulnerable among us.”
His message then deepened, becoming not just a response, but a moral call that reached far beyond the moment:
“You know what insults Jesus? It is creating division where there should be unity, spreading fear where there should be hope, and turning away from justice when we have the responsibility to uphold it.”
This was not merely a political rebuttal — it was something far more profound. Pope Leo XIV, known for his humility and steadfast commitment to peace, transformed the confrontation into a reflection on conscience rather than conflict. Instead of escalating tensions, he elevated the conversation to a universal moral level.
“I do not claim to be perfect,” he admitted. “But I strive each day to walk the path of compassion — to serve, to listen, and to love as we are all called to do.”
Then came the line that resonated far beyond the walls of the Vatican:
“If we truly believe in a world shaped by peace and mercy… then why do we not work harder to bring that reality into our lives — here and now, for one another?”
That was his response. Not with anger. Not with division. But with conviction — and grace.
Trump sought to challenge him. Instead, Pope Leo XIV delivered a message now echoing across millions, reminding the world that true strength is found not in power alone, but in conscience, humility, and love.
What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
