The PSST @rggoobi said after successfully sending the PDM money directly to the Bank Accounts of 10,585 PDM SACCOs (Ushs. 1.059 trillion),it is now the duty of all stakeholders including Members of Parliament to ensure that the program is effectively implemented.

Already 1,627,307 members from the 148,320 enterprise groups have benefited from the national roll-out of PDM.

In his concluding remarks at today's Press Briefing PSST @rggoobi emphasised the following:
➡️All Accounting officers must ensure that, they pay wages,salaries,pensions & gratuity by 28th of every month.
➡️Accounting officers must prioritize payment of service providers in time, to avoid accumulation of arrears.
➡️There should be display of the payrolls for salaries & monthly pensions on Gov't institutions notice boards every month.
➡️Accounting officers must ensure timely submission of performance reports & accountability.
➡️All Gov't institutions should ensure pre-payment of utilities (water,electricity) & failure to do this,service providers should turn off non-compliant votes.
➡️Accounting officers should also effectively supervise the implementation of Gov't programs & projects.

Minister of State for General Duties @henrymusasizi1 has expressed gratitude to all development partners that provide resources for the various programmes of refugees in Uganda.

He made the remarks today while opening the Transition Management in Uganda's Refugee Response Roundtable at Golden Tulip Hotel in preparation for the Global Refugee Forum in December 2023.

@henrymusasizi1 called for increased coordination in emergency responses to increase efficiency & reduce duplication of efforts. Uganda currently hosts 1,578,661 refugees in 14 refugee settlements (July 2023)

"MoFPED with support from development partners is leading on the process of developing a national transition strategy,which will guide both government and partners on the tranditional planning and management," said the Minister.
