Honoured to have been part of the National Validation Workshop for the Universal Languages for Change (UL4C) approach.
It was inspiring to engage with government institutions, WASH partners, and practitioners in reviewing creative approaches that use sport, dance, athletics, and art to promote positive sanitation and hygiene behaviours.
A valuable reminder that sustainable behaviour change is strengthened through collaboration, innovation, and approaches that connect with communities in meaningful ways.
Looking forward to seeing these tools contribute to wider WASH impact across Uganda. 💧
Thank you @vivaconagua_UG@GiftAribo@Ronald_Ngobi_

Ms Margaret Apio, a resident, told this paper on Saturday that their water facility broke down two weeks ago, but the user committee has since failed to collect Shs300,000 from the community. She said for the last 14 days that the committee has been moving around, they have only managed to only collect Shs85,000, leaving a deficit of Shs215,000.

THINGS PILOTS KNOW THAT PASSENGERS DON'T
1. Turbulence has never brought down a modern commercial aircraft.
2. The safest seats on a plane are toward the rear.
3. Cabin air is cleaner than the air in most office buildings.
4. Pilots are legally required to eat different meals in case of food poisoning.
5. Most flights carry more fuel than officially needed fear of fuel shortage is never real.
6. Autopilot flies more than 90% of every flight, but pilots are always monitoring.
7. Lightning strikes planes regularly,it's designed for it.
8. The brace position actually works. It's not a myth.
9. Phones in airplane mode don't affect navigation,it's a network congestion rule, not a safety one.
10. Dawn and dusk are statistically the safest times to fly.
11. The crew dims cabin lights before landing at night so your eyes adjust immediately in case of evacuation not for atmosphere.
I am happy to announce that @EUinUG is opening a Consulate General on Kalangala Islands to promote Ugandan pineapple exports. Ugandan pineapple is the best in the world - the EU must experience it! A dedicated airport is being built to ensure it arrives fresh in Brussels. 🇪🇺🍍🇺🇬
Addis Ababa is more than a capital. It is a vision in motion, a gateway to Ethiopia’s future!
As the beating heart of a rapidly transforming nation, Addis Ababa embodies our bold ambition for inclusive and forward-looking urbanisation. We are building not only for today, but for generations to come by expanding modern infrastructure, advancing smart city solutions, creating inclusive housing, and championing sustainable growth. Across Ethiopia, our cities are being shaped to empower people, unlock potential, and secure lasting prosperity.
Ours is a nation where progress and heritage stand side by side. Where ancient civilisations inspire modern achievement. Where investors discover vast, untapped opportunity across diverse sectors and regions. From the streets of Addis Ababa to the farthest reaches of our country, Ethiopia stands ready, resilient, dynamic, and open for business. As the diplomatic capital of Africa, Addis Ababa connects the world to a rising continent. It positions Ethiopia as a strategic gateway to African markets and a hub for global partnership. Yet Ethiopia offers more than opportunity. It offers discovery.
The future is being built here.
Invest in Ethiopia.
Explore Ethiopia.
Grow with Ethiopia.

Speaking about the deep contradictions in human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said:
“Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about the relatives still in their lives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have a partner often fail to appreciate them. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the full complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one.
The key to happiness is gratitude—to truly see and value what we already have, and to understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what we take for granted.”
Japan has committed Shs 659 billion towards Kampala Flyover Project Lot 2.
With Lot 1 already complete, here’s another look at how the entire project is expected to reshape traffic flow in the city.
What are your thoughts on this transformation?

Am happy to see you with my colleagues from @vivaconagua_UG showcasing UL4C. For the last 3years, we have supported @KCCAUG schools with sanitation facilities and behavioral change services, we are proud of our cooperation.
I had the honour of launching the National Sanitation Week 2026, organized by the Ministry of Health under the theme “Accelerating Safely Managed Sanitation for a Healthier Uganda.
Safely managed sanitation is not just about infrastructure,it is about protecting public health, safeguarding our environment, and upholding human dignity.
It is a responsibility we all share, requiring collective action from government institutions, partners, communities, and households.
This year’s Sanitation Week, which commenced on 16th March 2026 and will be crowned in Fort Portal on 19th March 2026, calls upon every Ugandan and resident of Kampala to embrace and practice good sanitation.
It begins with our bodies, extends to our homes, workplaces, and communities, and ultimately shapes the livability of our city and nation.
As @KCCAUG , we remain steadfast in advancing safely managed sanitation and strengthening hygiene practices. Together, we can build a healthier, cleaner, and more resilient Kampala—one that reflects the pride and dignity of its people.
Let us all play our part. A healthier Uganda starts with each of us.
