@RobertJenrick How many houses, how many are flats? How many bought as homes ( primary residences)? How many bought as investment properties? How many bought by UlK residents? How many built and/or bought by overseas Trusts? Look a bit deeper please @RobertJenrick
Housebuilding could double in rural areas like the Cotswolds and Cumbria under the government's damaging planning changes.
This could threaten valued countryside, while doing little to tackle the affordable housing crisis.

Why #JONESHILLWOOD matters. The devastation caused to wildlife & our cultural, shared heritage by #HS2 is a travesty. Not all rail is right, or what’s needed anymore. Solidarity, strength & love to all those standing before the chainsaws for what’s right. #StopHS2@AnothervoiceWB
@mcdougalll@WestBerkshire I think the answers may be found in the draft development brief - it’s a very long read and to my mind makes assumptions that need greater scrutiny. My personal opinion is that this scheme could cost West Berkshire residents a lot of money as well as loss of a community asset!
Nearly there @cityofyork citizens .. sadly we have been forced into nearly £2m costs to get rid of three chief officers ..& we will be paying for the next 5 years.. let’s get this over the finish line .. fast @RobertJenrick@RishiSunak
"They'll have to carry me out" - environmental activists have been camping up trees to obstruct HS2 construction in a Buckinghamshire forest for several months - until eviction authorities and @ThamesVP began removing them today. Via @PA.

When is all this going to stop - there is a serious #ClimateEmergency people
A never ending cycle of waste and disregard for heritage 😞

@RichardHarwood2@RobertJenrick @SAVEBrit @EricPickles Am I right in thinking Eric Pickles ‘called in’ the Welsh Streets application? Would @RobertJenrick have done the same? IMO the call in system has been undermined by the @mhclg withdrawal of the requirement to give reasons for NOT calling in applications.
Anyone who believes @NaturalCambs@CambAhead @fensbiosphere can 'double nature' needs a reality check.
This is what 'doubling nature' looks like along the bus way near the Virido development in Trumpington.
So-called Wood is dead sticks in the ground. Barely any still alive.
Planning Documents priory road footpath - is this a retrospective application? @ILoveHungerford @Hungerford_TC @PennyPostWB https://t.co/c2p2qqirrs
Typical @MHCLG and Jenrick. Nothing gets done because there is always going to be a time-wasting consultation for what to everyone else would be common sense and in the best interests of the majority of people in the UK. Shared ownership is #leaseholdscandal
One of the reasons it's so difficult to make progress with @SouthCambs is that the council's legal positions are hardly ever informed by a proper legal analysis of the relevant law & factual circumstances but rather by an analysis of what the council thinks it can get away with.
