.@JasonIsbell - who just released a new album called “Weathervanes” - on Jason Aldean’s controversial song “Try That in a Small Town:" "The instances in the song are paranoia ... Country music should be three chords and the truth, and that's not the truth."
It makes me so sad & angry that people don’t think we are worth saving. You’re looking at 8 combined overdoses in this pic. Surviving and thriving. Harm reduction saves lives.
BC Chief Coroner on #safersupply debate
“I feel very, very badly that they are using this as a political weapon, literally, on the bodies of 12,000 people who have died.
"...it’s reprehensible that this is a medical crisis that people are trying to politicize.”

When young I wanted to play football but trauma led to problematic drug use & rough sleeping which then led to more trauma via state sanctioned violence inflicted via prohibition. Each time you judge that person sleeping in a doorway remember everyone has a story to tell 💜
A shift in thinking: My father in law has been a conservative voter his whole life and was once against harm reduction. That changed when he realized that none his grandkids wouldn’t be alive today without harm reduction, especially supervised consumption sites. It’s should never be about politics, it should be about saving lives!
@NickBoyce416@mferreriptbokaw I agree with her that we need to acknowledge when something hasn’t worked.
Maybe she could give the century of criminalizing substance use a second glance…..
