@GdKJRL@Idreamcaffeine @IainWooding @loudel17@rosettafazio@KosSamaras@auspoldaily Unless you’re referring to conscription, literally they did sign up to put their life on the line. That is the whole purpose of the military. A nurse signs up to help people back to health, not endanger themselves in the process.
@imaanjoshi @Idreamcaffeine And that is the problem of the “I did my own research” crowd. I have done a whole unit on research as a part of my degree and it’s still not easy to understand. Academia and the general public speak different languages, without an interpreter.
@KerriSackville@DanielAndrewsMP Can they be held legally responsible for letting it circulate and ruining our lives? I’m so sick of the politicians never having to deal with consequences for their actions (or lack there of).
@haveachattabs@TedxUnisa@kyd_magazine I have sat in class with international students while an Aboriginal academic taught about colonisation. They are curious and want to know how it can be changed, they are not offended. White students with colonial ancestry are the ones who get offended.
@deeyaygou @hereforabuckk@ecomi_@NuggetsNewsAU Agree with you. It may have been a question that the social media managers are tired of answering but saying “we’ve answered this countless times” is very dismissive and reminds me of a retail assistant doing an eye roll when asked for help.
