Help Ramadhan Luvandale end malaria! Ramadhan has a full PhD scholarship to research vector-borne disease, but he needs £1400 to cover flights and UK entry fees so he can take up the funding. Check out his GoFundMe page!

Hey @UPS! You have lost my package. I would like to contact you about it, but it appears I cannot send you an email unless I sign your liability waiver. Is that really your intent?

@daniela_witten Have you tried saying "My name is Daniela Witten. That is W-I-T-T-E-N. Look it up." (I know you shouldn't have to, and I am sorry this happens. But if there is a time for pulling rank to put someone in their place, the situation you are describing might be it.)
@tmwaring@jorgeapenas I agree. But, as well as catchy, we will need to bring it into common usage. With some audiences, saying I am from the United States or USA does not convey the correct information, but saying I am American does. Lots of work to do on this one!
BBSRC funded PhD just advertised in my lab looking at the evolution of quadrupedal gaits. UK or international, almost any species, fossil or living, lots of options: https://t.co/NoQJe2xkU6

Cool new paper by @NoebelSabine and colleagues shows how conformity in mate preference might evolve in a metapopulation. Lots of fun things to think about in this one!
New paper out with colleagues from @EDB_Lab, CRCA, @IASToulouse and @TSEinfo. A truly interdisciplinary overview of human and animal conformity and how it might have evolved. https://t.co/atznqPJM1e
I'm recruiting a PhD student to partner with colleagues in New Zealand on an exciting project combining insect physiology, evolution, and phytosanitation. Looking for people with a physiology or entomology (or... try me!) background. Please RT! https://t.co/daHXShuIzc
@joey71074@sunnmcheaux I am actually not trying to single out the UK. My point is just that, as a US citizen living in the UK, I don't see that much difference. It seems to me that we have a lot of work to do in both places. But, as @joey71074 says, it is not really my opinion that matters here.
@joey71074@sunnmcheaux They did not, nor did most other reasonable people. The UN Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent called it an "attempt to normalize white supremacy." I think most people think the report itself was further evidence of institutional racism.
