I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

It takes years. Then happens all at once.
Years of silence. Years of darkness. Years of running full-throttle, speed bleeding out your soul on a road that never seems to end. You fail. You shrink. You do the best you can, but get nothing back. Until one day, one moment, one piece of work, changes everything. The road ends. The silence ends. And you wake up on a roller-coaster going straight towards the pinnacle. You get what you wanted. And the years of nothingness- make everything so much greater. And your only regret- is that you should’ve wanted so much more.
