Violence is Violence! We are against all sorts of violence but #16DaysOfActivism is majorly on violences against women because women are still miles behind the man in society @NgitoMakena@njokigachanja
Precisely...Flags represent a people/patriotism. It's a national symbol of sovereignty, that people want to take it so casually and mask it under partnership is an insult to who we are as a people and the struggle for Independence.
Find out the reason the flag was painted at the gate...
Did China support any project on the school?
Are there Chinese teachers in the school?
Could marking be like that of Bible for school to be spared when others are being destroyed?
Flags represent a people/Patriotism.Je Hii?
In the informal settlements in Kenya, which include,Mathare,Korogocho,Kiambiu,Kayole,Dandora and Githurai, people have be deprived of this right through extra judicial killings. @robi_chacha @nchrdkenya @IJMKenya@GithuraiHuman@MathareSJustice @KiambiuCenter
There are so many ways of showing partnership like documents and plaques but a flag is a symbol of a nation's pride and Identitity. How many flags are painted on State House walls despite the many partnerships?
@SirMycal We must make better choices now when electing our leaders. Otherwise in the wake of scramble for Africa sn2 the collaborators might hand us over, tujipate back in the forest trying to restrategize #WeNeesToStayWoke
This is a school in Nyandarua County, kinangop constituency. How are we 2 teach our children sovereignty and patriotism if at a tender age their identity is conflicted? What has this country become? Are we now a Chinese colony that our flags fly side by side?
As we commemorate #WorldFoodDay2018 let us remember that Kenya's food system is broken and people no longer trust what they eat anymore. Most farmers are struggling withpoverty while millions of people are faced with obesity and malnourishment. #ecologicalfarming@Greenpeaceafric
Fair enough, but you digress. The issue at hand was the book and the statement clearly stated 'One of...' The system has used countless means to ensure oppression reigns. On that we all agree! #EyesOnthePrize lest we get swayed.
We perfectly understand what media is and are of the opinion that it is more of an aiding tool to education...(even using the examples you have given)...with or without media, education still happens.
@GithuraiHuman Please do understand what media(which is plural) are. Examples of media are stone tablets, slates, books (read Gutenberg revolution). Newspaper, radio TV and lately New Media are recent inventions.
And for a child to even understand the media content, they need to have some level of education.More like egg and chicken scenario.(This is of course in context to the book issue) but we agree that the 4th Estate has also been used as a tool of mass deception
Long before a child is exposed to the media, he/she is exposed to education. Most children esp those living in the marginalized area will get to see this book first before they ever see a TV set or read a newspaper.
