Gittisham PC is looking for two people to join the parish council. If you would like to make a difference, and be involved in shaping the future of your local community please consider applying for these voluntary roles. See https://t.co/1OOO6ELvkc for more details.
Members of @GittishamPC met with me this morning to talk about the lack of broadband in the village. Adam, Maggie and Alex talked about how improved speeds would make a huge difference, not just to Gittisham, but to all industries and services that parishioners need access to.
So many small villages remain cut off and lagging behind as ever-faster broadband becomes available elsewhere - with communities like Gittisham and All Saints are being left in the slow lane. I’ll keep pushing for everyone to get a proper connection, no matter where they live.
Guests at Gittisham Community Kitchen (funded last winter by the Growing Communities Fund) are in for a treat tonight with delicious soup and salad on the menu! And what a lovely venue, featuring recent photos of local residents around the room! #communityaction#villagehall
St Michael, #Gittisham, Devon. The earlier medieval building was rebuilt in 1321. Unable to get inside to see, amongst other things, the Beaumont memorial. There’s an awkwardness to parts of it.
