They basically stick just to the artifacts, like roles and meetings, but ignore the core ideas behind it. Everybody just rush to assign storypoints to report on them to higher management and merge roles of PM/PO/Scrum master into one for „convenience“. Disaster.

I have a feeling that companies gave up on agile. In the past when a company practiced agile there was at least some enthusiasm about it. Now that it became a de-facto industry standard, companies adopt it without thinking. It‘s a must-have.
