@SaniPat17011043 @AmbLindnerIndia I'm not sure if the Immigration office has the authority to extend the visa if you're not in Germany. They can register you which would give you a little more time to get the visa extended. But in any case you need to be there in Germany before it expires

@schengen_info How fair it is to allow non-vaccinated tourists but not the vaccinated🇮🇳 students for as basic as their education? They said ban on students from VVA is for safety of non-vaccinated citizens. Now, what about the safety of these Non-Vac tourists in 🇩🇪 where delta var exist? Stupid

FYI, the entire process from getting appointment to applying to approval to stamping of D-visa takes almost 3-4 months in India. Re-applying for expired visas is not feasible at all. Automatic extension should be made. @AmbLindnerIndia @GermanyinIndia #educationisnottourism

This time will not be forgotten. The way Ger. is handling things. Telling people you don't have residences while they pay for it. Forcing expiration of visas, loss of semester. All this when most of EU allowing students & workers #Educationisnottourism @jensspahn @AmbLindnerIndia

@CGIFrankfurt Please press our case with the concerned authorities. We don't know if our mails/messages are reaching them correctly. Most EU countries have exempted students. All of us have residences in Ger. A rental contract can be taken as proof at entry. #educationisnottourism

@dhanyarajendran @SpaceAuditi Thanks for covering. Few more points: Most of EU exempts students & workers from their bans. Being in such close proximity, Ger. should also follow same guidelines; First time travelers also have rented residences similar to repeat travelers who are exempted.

We DO have residences & we can prove it via rental contracts. If that really is the ONLY criteria for exemptions, we should immediately be exempted from the travel ban!
