Bolton: Putin doesn't want to negotiate with Zelenskyy. He wants to negotiate with Trump because he thinks he'll get more out of him. And he's absolutely right.
In 1994, Ukraine had the third-largest nuclear arsenal in the world. It gave it up in the Budapest Memorandum for guarantees of its sovereignty and independence from the USA, the UK, and Russia. To prevent global proliferation, War Criminal Putin’s total breach must be rectified.
Hegseth wrongly stated today that “over four years” during Trump’s first term “there was no Russian aggression.” This is false. Russia did invade in 2014. But the war in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas didn’t end. It continued until Russia’s 2022 invasion. It was at a simmer with frequent deadly flare-ups. But it was still a war—on European soil, no less. And people were killed in fighting during Trump’s term. I won’t list all of the many Russian attacks that occurred then, but one of the worst was in Avdiivka in winter 2017, for example.
Europe can’t rely on the strength of the transatlantic relationship to help contain Russia’s threat – it must lead from the front and be the true force of support that Ukraine needs. Not just for Ukraine’s sake, but for a free and sovereign Europe. https://t.co/scXKHJ7fY1
Joint statement on Ukraine released today by the Nordic-Baltic 8 (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania):
"We stand fully and firmly behind Ukraine. Ukraine must be able to prevail against Russia’s war of aggression, to ensure a just and lasting peace. The outcome of the war will have fundamental and long-lasting effects on European and transatlantic security.
Our priority now is to strengthen Ukraine. Our countries are some of the largest per-capita contributors of military assistance to Ukraine. We will further bolster our support.
We are engaging with Ukraine, the United States and all our NATO Allies and EU partners on how to achieve peace through strength. We fully commit to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Ukraine should be given strong security guarantees. Ukraine and Europe must be involved in any negotiations to achieve just and lasting peace.
We are investing strongly in our own defence. We are determined to further strengthen our collective security and defence, and to shoulder our responsibility for peace and security in Europe"
Jack Posobiec said Bucha never happened, pushed the biolabs conspiracy and retweets Dugin. Trump has sent this man as part of his delegation to Ukraine. That’s all you need to know about the respect he has for Zelensky. Egregious
It’s disheartening to see Zelensky, a true hero, forced to appease pro-russian cowards like Trump and Vance. He knows exactly what they are, but his hands are tied because Ukraine’s survival partially depends on it
Do not underestimate the shift the Trump administration is laying out in its public comments. This is not just a shift away from supporting Ukraine against Russia, it is the U.S. reducing its support for, and involvement in, Europe’s security - and more
broadly, in the security of allies in Asia and around the world. 1/
Trump is literally throwing concessions at Putin before the sham "negotiations" have even started. If you dont understand we are seeing coordinated US-Russian actions now, you never will.
As long as I am Prime Minister, there will be no invitation for Russia to join the G7 table in June this year. We will not turn a blind eye to war crimes and attacks on other countries’ sovereignty.
There can be no negotiation about Ukraine without Ukraine.
Ukraine's voice must be at the heart of any talks.
It's our job to put them in the best possible position to secure lasting peace through strength.
How Trump got outmaneuvered by Russia: They seized another U.S. hostage, while the U.S. betrayed Ukraine and our European allies

Don't compare Trump to Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain did not personally like the dictator he dealt with. Chamberlain did not staff his ministry with pro-dictator enthusiasts. Chamberlain was not helped into office in the first place by that dictator. From Churchill's eulogy:
