@JaneMayerNYer@BaddCompani I remember those Camelot years and what they represented…HOPE. At the time I was a teenager bursting with optimism. How I grieve what we have lost …….
Please, can we take a step back and look at the structure of the 2024 presidential race?
A man found liable for sexual assault that the judge called “rape” is the Republican nominee.
A man convicted of 34 felonies and is running for president out on bail is the Republican nominee. In most states he couldn’t vote for himself.
A man who was very close to Jeffery Epstein is the Republican nominee.
"I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."
A man who promises to hold a “military tribunal” to prosecute the daughter of a former Republican V.P. for treason, punishable by death, is the Republican nominee.
A man who considers church a place to go every fifteen years or so to marry a model is running against a devout Catholic.
This is an easy race to win. Don’t over complicate it. Trump won one election with 46.2 %. The man who beat him is the incumbent President of the United States with the best record of any first term post-WW2 presidents, the man more Americans voted for than any candidate in American history.
Don’t fall into the trap of beating yourself. Be confident. We are right and they are wrong. There are more of us than them.
Stay together and focus on the evil of Donald Trump. On bad days, work harder. On good days, work harder. Be steady, relentless, focused. Support each other.
Make history. Defend the American Experiment. Defend the legacy of the Greatest Generation.
Don’t let Donald Trump steal America. Not on our watch. Put aside differences for another day and hold the line. This is bigger than any of us.
Victory is out there, waiting. Go out and take it. And the rest of our lives we will know we were there when America needed us.
@DualReality69 @Karen01194360@thejackhopkins People will feel what they feel and a lot are (justifibly) feeling plenty of angst. I am one of them and concerned about how some could act on their feelings and light a fire of revenge that will not be easily quenched. There was no intention to offend.
@anellawrites@thejackhopkins Of course I am horrified by how he has treated everyone‼️The man has no shame. He cannot be “punished” enough to see the error of his ways. He will only become more entrenched is his beliefs. WITHIN THE LAW he needs to be removed from sight and sound.
@BLill42 @thejackhopkins Revenge is an unrestrained chain reaction that destroys. Justice provides accountability with tempered restraint that allows for an opportunity to rebuild.
@OGNurseRatchet@thejackhopkins Indeed I want justice that “tempers the flames of revenge” with compassionate fairness embodied in the appropriate administration of the rule of law. I believe Jack Smith will provide information for a jury to do this.
@Karen01194360@thejackhopkins 😂 Yes, I am a mother, grandma, and have experienced a lot in my 74 years. I know revenge is an escalating chain reaction that never results in satisfaction. Another way to say that is “an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind”. Not a constructive or satisfying way to remove evil.
