@DR_BEATS_KICK I am not a "tree hugger," but this makes all the sense in the world. Ive seen this in Southern CA. I dont know what the drawback would be. Cooler cars in the summer, less snow on cars in tje winter.
I am 60 years old and have lived virtually my entire life in the American South. I have never to my knowledge met a single member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is a ghost kept alive by millions of dollars in funding by the Southern Poverty Law Center to keep us divided.
@DanWolken@SPSnieder@sammmjack Lived in both cities. Memphis used to see itself as the big brother and Nashville as trying to be the big brother. Memphis has always been jealous of Nashville. That's why it was a blow to Mem not to get the Titans. That is the joke in Castaway.

@Mark_J_Ryan@CinemaTweets1 Or be from Nashville. Saw the movie in Chicago, amd when Hanks said that line,I laughed so loud I snorted. I was the only one. No one else got the joke.
@RobertaFresque2 That movie made me realize the "fakeness" of Hollywood. The wife it was based on was actually a large woman who was rather plain looking.
@black13830@Akir_a997 Do you know what a joy it is to be there for every milestone? To make memories with your children with simple everyday things that are magical to them? To not be torn between a job and your life?
@Akir_a997 I did, and I'm so glad I did. Did I love every minute? No. Did my family have to sacrifice? Yes. But knowing I was always there for my kids and my husband was priceless. And, FWIW, I have an MBA and left a successful career.
