Building a martech company can be kind of a funny endeavor if you think about it...
Here we are building extremely specific features that remove little bits of grating friction from "boring" marketing workflow tasks that most normal people couldn't give a s*** about about EXCEPT the exact person (our customer), and then they REALLYYYY care about it.
It turns out there is joy in the "mundane" details when you're building every day to make the product better.
In this morning's daily standup @achieving100ms presented a solution he whipped up for a common annoyance our customers have faced - updating there standard config (where they send their new subscribers). Long story short - instead of asking users to go switch account level settings, we can catch the change on a campaign level and present a few likely options for how it should be handled on the account level.
Aha! Now it's live and @gohitide is some small % BETTER and easier to use.
These mundane details compound over time. I love my job! Give me more "boring" problems. We love this stuff!

Story time about first impressions early on in our pivot to the Shopify ecosystem.
When we first started exploring Shopify, ecomm, and DTC early last year, @EnsoRings was one of the first brands I learned about and thus became synonymous in my mind with “big, successful, premium merchant.”
A little while later I found out my co-founder @achieving100ms was a big fan and customer too.
“If only we could get our fledgling product idea in front of a brand like Enso,” I thought more than once.
Around the same time, I started going to dtc meetups and IRL events like 3 or 4 times a week.
One of my first was an evening drinks panel thing hosted by @lunarsolargroup (featuring @andycloud@superfiliate and Sarah Grosz!) at their office.
It was one of my first impressions of what an excellent agency looks like - working with amazing brands, at the cutting edge... snazzy office, good team vibe - and the free pizza and beer was not too shabby either.
“To partner with LSG would be a dream,” I thought back then—because it would mean we’d built something truly special, something that could excite top players in the space.
Fast forward to TODAY for Ship it Friday:
