@AndersonLMiller Train for base hits.
A hooked ball has more EV than the faded ball flight and the fade makes the batter take on the biggest part of the ball park
@GoGoGolson So length in a swing would be ok if the batter is able to square the barrel and beat the pitcher to the spot?
I think of Ken Griffey Jr’s swing and he threw a might punch and his body looked like a figure skater if they had a bat attaches to them
C Moore will need to sort out that K% in the ML’s. Christy Mathewson said the Big League wasn’t for everyone but as you say Christian is young and hopefully he gets another chance to be a productive Major League ball player⚾️⚾️
‘Many a Busher I’ve seen go back who has tried hard and I have felt sorry for them. It is just like a man in any other business who gets a chance at a better job than the one he is holding and not being big enough to fill it. It is the one time that opportunity has knocked and most of the Bush Leaguers do not know the combination to open the door. And has been pointed out, opportunity has never been charged with picking locks.’

‘Pitching in a Pinch’
Fair play.
Also not every 1st pitch strike is created equal.
If you throw a middle middle pitch to a ML hitter in a positive count like 0-0 then that pitched ball should at the least be fouled and more often than not it should be centered.
I think part of the OOZ chase rate has to do with hitters calling hit and runs on themselves instead of being able to anticipate and identify good pitches to hit.
I was referring to the distance away from the strike zone a ball misses by as well as the quality of strikes thrown in the zone.
Not all strikes and balls are created equal.
My research is strictly anecdotal and I may be wrong but my eyes see more bounce passes to the catcher and pitches that hit the bull.
