@ShardiB2@coinsandmusic Accountant here..... File a police report and then claim Casualty and Theft losses on the tax return. This is unrelated to Capital Losses and there's no $3k annual max.
@ZeroHedge_@IncomeSharks I respectfully disagree. If one buys a home @ 400k at age 35. Pays it off over 30 years w/no principal/interest payments at age 65, considering no inflation, would this still not be an investment? Rental property costs increase w/o prop tax cap. Owning a home ensures a max 3% cap
@MMize5@CoinLedger@CSH_ENTHUZST_IO Your accountant probably isn't having you pay taxes on it. They're most likely getting the purchase data from you now so that they'll know how much taxes are owed when you decide to sell it.
I know the $USD has a bullish chart construction, but the Weekly Cycle is due to turn over into the declining phase, ending near year end.
That would add fuel to hard assets.
The question is..... do they reverse this decision near the end of the upcoming bear market? PS....I don't believe we'll be in a bear market in the short term. Mid term, maybe. Long term, absolutely. It also depends on your definition of these "terms".
Understand why the Fed is suddenly banning policy makers from owning individual stocks... the top is approaching.
If these policy makers suddenly started dumping, it would scare the market.
Instead, they “must” dump their stocks for “ethics reasons”.

@scottmelker This tax can be avoided by keeping your Bitcoin in separate wallets, exchanges or storage. It's always best to keep your long-term investments in a separate place than your short-term trading activity.
