@RealDonBradshaw Like to see Guerrero get a Gatorade bath but he would have to contribute to a win for the too happen. Maybe they should give him one just for cashing his paycheque. Only thing he has done all season long.
@RMapleCan Agreed. Not looking for a fight but in negotiations you don’t give up your “Trump” card. Mid terms are coming up. Let the cost of living be affected in those states that may very well end up deciding the make up of the House and Senate.
@MarcNixon24 Question for you. Is giving the United States everything they want and getting next to nothing in return the way you would handle it. I work in Ontario industry that has lost a thousand good paying jobs due to 50% tariffs. Tell me how you would handle negotiating.
@mogrant61@pjofyork Agreed but my reply was about the fact it was possible. Your original post said we don’t have a say. I am a conservative through and through and I know the petition is crap.
@jezscacuzz Same thing could be accomplished with us remaining independent countries. All of the tariffs, taxes work barriers etc could all end by the swipe of a pen on both sides. Leaders with brains on both sides of the border could accomplish this .. if they wanted the people to thrive.
@sarobertson_ We don’t hate Americans we hate the policies of this government. I personally love the people of the USA. As a sports fan I sing the American National Anthem. I respect the people and the country. Wish President Trump felt this way about the Canadian people.
@Reil76 Only way to stand up to a bully is to hit back. Time to quit giving away our negotiating power and use the resources we supply to our advantage. Mid-term elections are coming up quickly. Piss off some voters and take away some of Trump’s political power and influence.
@nspector4 I really don’t think Ford’s adds had much to do with Trump’s temper tantrum. He never wanted a deal. If he had the deal he wanted he would make it happen. We will always lose to Trump because we refuse to play all the cards in our deck (energy, potash). Negotiate from weakness.
@RepTenney Would you prefer us to stop shipping oil and electricity to the U.S to retaliate against the tariffs. Governments are choosing to impact the people of the United States as little as possible. We want a fair deal. The argument started in the Oval Office.
@MarcNixon24 Highly doubt that companies are going to leave their assets behind in Canada and start fresh in the States. Do you know the infrastructure it takes to make steel?
@GeneralsUpdates Ya I seen that. Says he is just gonna help when he is around. During a OHL season how much time is he gonna be around. Rep coaches are busy every weekend and so are the Hounds. Tells how poorly reporters really want to push to do real reporting. #nostoryhere
@wealthmoose That is fine. With the shortage of fertilizer because of the issues with shipping in the Middle East maybe Canada should focus on Potash sales in other parts is the world. The U.S. can use their supply which they don’t have and then face the farming crisis.
@USAmbCanada@canmericanized You negotiate with governments not businesses even though I hate ours. Can’t be a narrow scope negotiation that benefits just the U.S and one particular sector. Tariff free trade and let commerce determine profitability in all sectors on both sides of the border.
@HoundsInsider@tim_lukenda While are at it maybe we should look at the architect of the front office. Raftis needs to join Dean on the unemployment line. Personally I would drop Dean tomorrow and find an available coach to come in to finish the year. We ain’t going far anyway. Take a gamble.
