@theswansjr 2018 doesn't matter anymore. The real problem for Bitcoin is the past five years. That is half a decade. the 2010s are in the past and are never likely to happen again for crypto. It's most likely over.
@BenjaminPyle@duediligenceguy Gold isn't about making money today or next month. It is about protecting the value of the money you make now over decades. That's it. No promises of yachts or mclaren F1s. Just protecting the value of your money long term.
The point of gold and silver isn't making generational wealth. Very few people in the space make those promises. This is unlike the people who push crypto on followers who usually don't have much money (or worse, in a way, causing some people to sell their house and buy bitcoin) and promising them yachts and private plane money just around the corner.
Your basing the most important decisions of your life on anecdotes and "feels" rather than actual data and intelligent decision making and worse yet giving financial advice to others who know nothing.
But yeah maybe you are happy to get engagement no matter the consequences for people who take your advice seriously
Bitcoin is up ~75% the past 5 years as of today. Quibbling about the specifics of what time frame in the past 5-6 years is pointless because according to the narratives all the crypto advisors gave it should be at least 20-50 times that.
By comparison, boring old Wal-Mart stock is up 157% the past 5 years, and it has a dividend too...
There isn't any hope for bitcoin.

If it was perpetually at 500K for the rest of time (improbable, will be much less) it would be an epic failure.
It's supposed to be $1,000,000 a bitcoin currently. And $10,000,000 a bitcoin soon. Anything less is unacceptable to the story-line everyone heard and bought into for years and years and years
