Red Sox | Patriots | Celtics | Bruins | Revolution | Real Madrid | Hartford Athletic | Michigan | MMA & Boxing | JB is no longer on the Celtics and I am sad.

@robnashville Ronda Rousey as “President/ CEO”? Nakisa COO, Paul CMO / brand ambassador? She’s spoke about wanting to be MVPs Dana white and I could see the board loving the idea of one of the biggest MMA stars ever who gets the attention of men and women promoting the brand.

@vicdamonesports @JohnMartinPFL @PFLMMA Dakota is injured (again). So, Carmouche vs Bishop 2 for the vacant women’s flyweight title on Oct 16. men’s vacant bantamweight title will most likely be Taylor Lapilus vs Mitch McKee in Lyon, France on December 19.

Matter of time. Time to change my twitter name again.

Trade! The Patriots are sending WR Kayshon Boutte to the Texans for safety Jaylen Reed and a draft pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.

@zainbando99 @robnashville LT is usually pretty good about knowing cancelled and fizzled bouts so I was surprised. Like no, the PFL didn’t want or plan on Tracy f’ing reeder in the co-main. Also surprised that they didn’t talk about what a tragedy is that Gustavo Oliveria isn’t on the card anymore either.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@zaclikesmma Next media partner will be huge. ESPN is the reason they’re still competing with the UFC on Saturdays. I think they do like to test championship main events vs fight nights here and there to see but Fridays should be their day.

@InYoSzn @robnashville Powell vs Carlos Jr 2 would be interesting for the LHW title. I know Anderson wants that HW fight and did beat Golstov so I could see a move up for him. 205 is actually relatively strong in the PFL imo. Powell, Rasul, Nabiev, Dovlet, Carlos jr. Abena and Atangana as well.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@InYoSzn @robnashville with the state of the PFL HW division, totally agree. That said, those three except Popov (boring) seem like fun fights. Anderson moving up or going for double champ is my guess tho . Would prefer Corey fights Carlos Jr for the LHW title tho.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@danny11_ca @MMA__Matchmaker MVP is big on women’s combat sports. With rousey being a spokesperson, Dakota being a face (if she can stay healthy), I’m expecting a big women’s push - even if talent is thin. Maybe an attempt at untapped / casual female markets & viewers as well.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@robnashville @InYoSzn For a title? I sure hope not. Should be Popov, Bilostenniy, or Goltsov. Let big boy fight Augusto or something.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@zaclikesmma Unrelated but do you know what’s up with Pouya Rahmani? I know he’s been doing the BJJ / RAF stuff but I’m surprised he hasn’t been booked since his fight earlier this year. The best HW prospect PFL has (IMO) and he’s already 34. Their whole HW division has lagged tho.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@vicdamonesports @JohnMartinPFL @MostVpromotions @PFLMMA @jakepaul @nakisa_bidarian @Nasdaq BW - Mitch Mckee vs Lapilus likely before the end of the year.
FW - Rizin & PFL titles on the line; Shaydullaev vs Aj Mckee Sep 10 on super rizin 5
WFLW - will be Carmouche vs Ditcheva if Dakota wins tmrw.

No mens flyweight division as of right now.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@HannitySkip @PFLMMA who? she’s beaten all of them and the only one she hasn’t (Kayla Harrison) is in the UFC.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@MikeHeck_JR Hi John. What are the plans for PFL Pacific? I’d love to see you continue to expand regionally: Pacific, LatAM, Asia for brand awareness and getting to talent early. Also, country v country global events would be fun & could bring in the casuals you spoke of wanting to reach.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@MikeHeck_JR Hi John. What’s going on with Pouya Rahmani? I see he’s been out of the rankings for a month or so now. I’d love to see Popov vs. Rahmani as a title eliminator for Nemkov.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@RevolverNyce @jayarchivess @CSTodayNews you could say UFC for 115 but i doubt they wanted her and “atomweight” may mean something to her.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@RevolverNyce @jayarchivess @CSTodayNews yeah but, in Rizin it’s 108 for “(super) atomweight” she’d have to fight as a strawweight to fight at 115 and they literally have like 3 women’s straw weights under contract PFL has what, maybe 4 or 5 115ers under contract? and no clear rankings or path to a title like ONE.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@jayarchivess @CSTodayNews unfortunately for her and all women’s atomweights, ONE is really her only option right now.

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@mma_kings @ClubDeLasMMA do you know what’s up with Pouya Rahmani? He’s out of the PFL rankings. is he taking time off or is he talks to sign elsewhere?

[Ø @GonzalezsWRLD]

@slizzheadspeaks @jedigoodman likely up to ESPN. they are broadcasting the masters on friday. i think the PFL would prefer to avoid numbered cards and Saturdays as much as possible. Id also bet that they wish Pettis vs Mckee was happening today vs that UFC fight night card instead.
