They said it will take 2 years for me to actually get put on medication but they think from the initial screening it looks likely. I think I'm going to go private rather than wait because I almost can't function.

@m_minkoff @AdultingADHD Hi. I'm 42 and after years of being misdiagnosed with bipolar I finally got the Drs to listen after a friend suspected I had ADHD so I started looking into it. I never really related to the people I knew who had bipolar. it just didn't fit and the meds made me worse.

@mymollybloom @AdultingADHD Hi Molly. I'm 42 and after years of misdiagnosis I'm finally being screened for it. I feel a bit sad as for years I thought I had bipolar but the medications made much worse. Have you tried any medications yet? How do you cope with it?

@AdultingADHD @ADHDwomen hey Rach. I'm just at the beginning of being screened for it. Can I ask if your PMT is bad? I've had such bad PMT since a teen and I'm thinking ADHD might have been the reason. I'm 42 now and I've been struggling since I was 19 with symtoms that were misdiagnosed as bipolar.
