not to sound like a film whore but thinking about how many brilliant mid to low budget films we could have seen come to life for that same price makes me feel genuinely upset.
once again thinking about cord's oscars speech.
Trump: "has anyone seen Silence of the Lambs?"
the crowd quietly murmurs in confusion as Trump slowly realizes he is in a Yesterday situation where he's the only person on earth who remembers the filmography of Jonathan Demme
The Cinematic Schematic returns from our hiatus to review the conclusion of Ti West’s accidental “X” trilogy, #MaXXXine featuring the @imetyourmonstercrew crew.

now that I’ve watched the Happy Death Day films, I simply must ask—why the fuck is she not in more films?
How have I never seen her in anything else?
She’s pretty great?
This is awesome. Nicolas Cage’s 85 year old uncle just achieved his lifelong dream of making a movie. Even though there’s obviously some nepotism because of his nephew’s fame, it’s an amazing example of “it’s never too late.”
Nothing makes me tune out of conversations faster than you guys talking about a movie’s logic. I don’t think A Quiet Place is particularly good but all of the “it doesn’t make sense!” stuff is so boring. I’m not at the movies to watch the freakin NEWS!
🚨Bonus Episode Alert🚨
The Cinematic Schematic joined forces with @GoodTrashMedia for a "Garbage Chute" style review of #TheFallGuy featuring @CMastersTalk @Doll_Stew @alexvbrohannon.

Hollywood's long complained about a lack of rising male stars. Well, Glen Powell had a big hit with ANYONE BUT YOU and is getting rave reviews for HIT MAN, which'll make more people want to see him in TWISTERS. The lesson? Make more mid-budget movies, and you will get more stars
It's actually fascinating how this shot was done, and shows how CGI has ruined cinema since: the set was built (and filmed) upside-down with Tobey Maguire just lying flat on his back.. Willem Dafoe is holding himself upside-down, just by his finger tips. No strings.
Wow
Hey okies! Did you miss HELL HATH NO FURY or THE CULTIVATION OF YIELD at deadCenter last year? Well have I got some news for you!
Both films will be screening at the Red Dirt Film Festival NEXT WEEK!!! Yes! BOTH FILMS!!! 🥳 🎉 ✨
See you all very soon in Stillwater 🤠
Want to remind @Criterion that they posted this April Fools Blu-ray cover in 2012 and it was one of the best covers they've ever come up with and they should do it for real.
