The omission of disability-related questions in NFHS-6 undermines #DisabilityInclusion. Scarce data on disabled individuals lead to inaccurate statistical representation.

We urge @mansukhmandviya & @MoHFW_INDIA to prioritize inclusion in vital statistics of NFHS.

Despite persistent efforts, we still await a satisfactory explanation for the exclusion of disability-related questions in NFHS 6. The sector seeks to express concerns to @MoHFW_INDIA about the potential setback it'll cause to the disability movement.

Dropping disability-related questions from NFHS 6 is a regressive step. While flawed, their inclusion in NFHS 5 marked an important initial step toward gathering data on disability. Excluding them now undermines progress.

A week-long workshop of NCPEDP-Javed Abidi Fellows to enhance capacity building was organised from June 12-17.

It's a significant step forward to boost the leadership & disability advocacy capabilities amongst the fellows through insightful deliberations from noted facilitators.
