Do I care about what? That people who don’t accept correct guidance are killing each other? Yes I care. This isn’t an argument against god though this is just an argument that free will exists.
Or are you asking that I care that god doesn’t intervene? And you’re asking if I’m ok with a god who allows evil, even if it’s done with the belief that the action aren’t evil? Socratic paradox of evil.
@IABIBFY@leothescribbler@Jim_Jobs_@endorph_machine Your argument boils down to “if there is a god then he has to comport to my human understanding of morality, we know best after all, as well as submit to the demands of his creations, for we know best after all.” It’s arrogance masquerading as intelligence. Do better.
If I act as if the matter of man are the matter of man and do what I can in that front there is no irresponsibility in assuming benevolence. How many Christian’s do you know that refuse cancer treatment? Caritas is the second largest humanitarian org in the world and is a primary source of aid in Palestine. How about you stop talking about things you don’t understand.
It’s not my problem that you can’t comprehend of a god that doesn’t bend to personal demands. That’s your personal problem.
@Meray140@scsimodem@MattWalshBlog What about if everyone knows you’re a moral busy body who dreams of tyrannical control and if you or anyone like you attains said power we’ll all be in chains? What if enough people have already figured that out?
Demand of the creator. Actually lol.
As for your question about allowing suffering. Do I care? Yes. Lots of things are terrible. Do I pretend to have any control over it or any other number of things which I think are terrible? No. Does he? Sure, but I don’t pretend to know why he allows such things.
The claim that any of these things are difinitively not God at work is unprovable. Claiming otherwise is hubris. To pretend that what you call intuition or fate is always attributable to learning or energy efficiency is also observably wrong. The difference between you and I is that I’m not asking you to believe my claim while you’re demanding I believe yours though they both carry the same weight in evidence. I’m telling you what I’ve experienced. You can do with that whatever you’d like.
I took this path: disbelief with curiousity -> researched until I found it highly plausible, so open to it but didn’t believe -> persistently went through the motions without reinforcement for years -> noticed god WAS talking to me and I wasn’t listening -> faith
You can reason your way into a receptive state. God will do the rest.
@Shmuzey@BishopJaxi And without an authority to clear it up, they just trust the Holy Spirit is guiding them. Coincidentally the Holy Spirit guiding them feels a lot like gut instinct. Tiny popes.
@SCHIZO_FREQ I’ve had a theory for a while that there’s a non-insignificant number of “gay” men who are just autistic. Can’t relate to girls let alone figure out the games required to date one. Meanwhile engaging in gay sex has a low barrier to entry (no pun intended).
@lusht75@SlumRNA_Dog@RedWavePress You realize there are open container laws and this is generally illegal? No one supports public intoxication except brain rotted retards.
@corecoachdave@raven_brah Maybe you are just a shitty ingrate? Families who are close actually give a shit about each other. Those are your parents parents, they’re the people who created and shaped your parents. Your family clearly sucks and didn’t teach you what is important in life.
